James Mandy has posted a nice how-to video on a tire change on his Vespa over at vimeo. It’s funny how the simplest of things don’t often get discussed, so it’s refreshing to see this video.

From James:

My Vespa PX200 came with a spare wheel/tyre and after some discussion on a forum about puncture repair VS changing a spare wheel/tyre I decided to do a video on just how simple changing it over really is…

Trust me, from my own experience, learn how to change your scooter’s tires now – at home, in daylight, in the sun – because when you really do need to do it – it’ll be in the dark, in the rain, at the side of a busy road.

Thanks James, brilliant! My first experience of this was on the side of the Victoria Park flyover on Auckland’s motorway at 5:30pm in the rain. Ask anyone who knows; there’s no where, no time worse.
