The fine folks at the New York Mod Squad Facebook group have given us the heads up that Scooterist favorite Jonathan Toubin will be spinning the decks at Beauty Bar tonight filling the air with Mod sounds:

Beauty Bar New York and Three Olives Vodka presents the Boogaloo Shampoo – the party where New York’s hardest-working DJ (over 300 gigs in 2008), New York Night Train Soul Proprietor Mr. Jonathan Toubin, fills the mod-ish newly-redecorated back room dancefloor to ceiling with bubbly 45rpm soul classics, novelties, and obscurities – spanning late-r&b to early funk but centering on mid-60s burners every Thursday. Come welcome Mr. Toubin back from his nationwide tour of Beauty Bars and get down to his sound….

The set kicks off at 11pm and continues until 4am.
