No doubt a promotion figured out by some marketing guru far more sophisticated than ourselves, we snapped this shot on our way out of Newark International Airport last week on a trip to bonnie Scotland. Piaggio Group America have a small but striking display at one of Newark’s terminals sharing Vespanomics information and a history of the badge plus “live” (and highly waxed) models of the Piaggio MP3 250 three-wheeler and a Vespa GTV 250. Needless to say it was the three-wheeler that got heads-scratching by passers by.

We commend any opportunity to share the Piaggio and Vespa ranges with the public but not sure what the logic of this placement is given we saw this on the way out on an International flight. Surely it’s better placed on the way back IN from some dreamy European vacation as a reminder that one can keep that Italy trip alive back home with the purchase of a shiny new scoot.
