The 1967 Lambretta Li150 series 3 ridden by Jimmy the Mod (AKA actor Phil Daniels) has just been sold for the princely sum of 36,000 pounds sterling at UK auction house Bonhams.

The scooter is one of a small handful of rare and fabled “Jimmy Scooters” that were used during the production of the 1979 movie Quadrophenia based on The Who’s rock opera double album of the same name. Fortunately the lot for sale was not the Vespa GS that Jimmy stole from actor Sting in the closing scene of the movie, which reached an unhappy end at the bottom of a cliff.
