Delivery scooterist hit by NYFD
Around 10pm on Saturday night on the corner of 51st Street and 7th Avenue in Sunset Park Brooklyn, local delivery scooterist Lin Chen was hit by a NY Fire Department car. The car had its lights and siren on and was being driven by a veteran Fire Department officer. The officer will not be charged.
Chen, who works for Good Friend 88 restaurant, was taken to Lutheran Medical Center with severe head trauma. He is currently in critical condition in the ICU undergoing treatment. Lin is 36 years old and father of two.
It is not clear what riding protection Lin was wearing at the time of the incident.
