With the weather turning, your thoughts might turn to next year’s vacation.

If you’re interested in seeing Italy by your favorite mode of transportation, a small group of enthusiastic riders have put together a 2010 vacation package for scooterists by scooterists: Bella Italia Scooter Rally scheduled to take place between 14-25 June 2010 is a tour of Italy by scoot taking in a number of sites along the way. The package includes hotel stays, a local scooter reservation and a van on hand to ferry luggage between locations freeing you up to enjoy the ride.

Meeting in Pisa and quickly moving on to the Piaggio museum in Pontedera, the tour will then proceed to different cities: La Spezia, San Gimignano, Cortona, Fiesole and Florence, with post-tour optional stays in Venice or Rome before returning to Pontedera.

The trip is organized by Scooter Rallies Europe a loose group of Scooter Enthusiasts as a response to the fantastic success of their Greek Islands Scooter Rally in 2009. The group is not a tour company or travel agency, rather just folks like you and me who love to scoot and have a great time.

The group has 8 of 18 places still available. and if you book by December 15th. Expect to ride alongside scooterists from the US, Canada, UK and Europe. A great opportunity to meet like-minded folk.

In addition, Scooter Rallies Europe is planning a follow up to last year’s Greek Islands Scooter Rally, scheduled for 24th May-4th June 2010. Full details on the Greek itinerary can be found here.
