Folks, you don’t need me telling you that it’s now officially winter weather. Question is how many of you were out there riding today? I have to confess I chickened out and took the subway and man it sucked. I’ve forgotten how miserable everyone is on the train and how goddamn crowded it is.

Hope you had a better commute and stuck to your two-wheels. If you braved the weather we want to hear your winter riding hints and tips.

This morning, after warming up my Buddy 125, I gently twist the throttle to come out of my spot between two cars. However, the throttle got STUCK! I pulled back….and nothing. It was me just flying towards a building across the street and the breaks were not strong enough to hold back the high revving engine.

I’m not sure exactly what happened, but within a few seconds I was landing face first (the top of my helmet hit the pavement thankfully) on the street.

Nevertheless, I picked myself up, put the scooter on the sidewalk, tested the throttle again…and wearily drove off.

It’s still better than the subway.

Ugh. Hope you’re okay Aaron. I didn’t ride in today. Hoping the weather this weekend lets up but I’ve got a feeling it’s here to stay now.

Going to look into some kind of glove warmers or glove liners. Other than that I think I have enough warm weather gear.
