Thinking of storing your scooter indoors? Think twice.

Personally, in an attempt to avoid winter storage costs, I’ve been toying with the idea of dragging my Vespa PX into the house and storing it in the apartment. I’m lucky in the respect that I have enough clearance and ground floor access to do so.

2 Stroke Buzz has a great short article in answer to a question from Chicago reader Phil about the validity of storing your scoot in your living space, in this case the basement of his rental building. 2 stroke’s answer – in short, unless you’re prepared to fully drain the oil and gas, don’t do it.
