If you’re like me, sometimes you just want to break up the monotony of your desk job by watching 5 minutes of unadulterated Vespa footage. Today we have a nice video from Vimeo poster Jacky Benassi who has caught a bunch of great footage of scooters in the wild on the streets of Indonesia. Mostly Vespas but there is the occasional Lambretta in there.

It’s good to be reminded every now and then that in most countries in the world, the vintage Vespa is a practical means of transportation, warts (and dents) and all, and not the fetish object we’re often guilty of here in the U.S.

These scooters are workhorses in developing countries. One can often see scooters drive around with cargos piled high behind the driver.
