Vespa Jersey City Spring Kickoff May 21st
Yesterday was my first (long over-due) visit to Vespa Jersey City as part of the NY Scooter Club’s BlockParty weekend. Man what a great place. They have a beautiful showroom, and they are literally only two minutes ride from the Holland Tunnel exit. Couldn’t be easier.
May 21st could be your first visit. Vespa JC are celebrating their spring line up with DJs, food, drinks, and deals – unveiling the 2011 Vespa lifestyle gear and pre-orders on new helmets and selected gear.
This weekend they had some great deals on apparel which will no doubt continue through the 21st including 30% off on all Armadillo Scooterwear. The dealership is also now stocking Corazzo jackets.
I picked up an Armadillo Parka on sale, so there will be a review coming soon, but first impressions of this jacket are that it’s very well thought out.
To keep up to date on the deals on the 21st, visit VespaJC.com or their Facebook page.

Totally disappointed. I have been a customer since they were in a trailer and the store was still being built. I’ve stored my scooter with them over the winter, purchased lots of accessories and had work done on my Vespa here. The service is slow (both in the store and getting the work done), but I was willing to put up with it since the people were usually friendly. They are closed Sundays and Tuesdays, which is annoying, but whatever. I have tried a few times to be conversational and show them some items they don’t stock but would definitely sell if they did (they took my advice on a few things). I’ve asked about different upgrades to my scooter, but the guy there usually shrugs and says he doesn’t really know. No worries, take the jobs you want; I’m glad business is that good. However…I stopped in about a week ago to purchase goggles. Today I went to exchange them because they fog up atrociously. Guy disappeared for a minute, then comes back and says “no” because of a small scratch on the lens…that was there when I bought them. First item I’ve ever tried to bring anything back. $8 goggles and I was looking to exchange. Total a-hole response guaranteed it was my last trip to the store. Save yourself the hassle and go to the Soho dealership or check out the online scooter store with “West” in the name. Those people know Vespa inside and out and will be happy to help you with anything.
