Imagine this, but with some scooters, and you get the idea.

We’ll let you argue over whether or not it’s a first, but Long Island’s Hornets Scooter Club are quickly gaining momentum for their first honest-to-goodness camping and all scooter rally, Scootstock, planned to take place over the Labor Day weekend (September 4th and 5th.)

While many of the details still need to be fleshed out, the schedule is coming along nicely with beach-bound ride-outs planned for both days, a rally-central location and trophies planned for best classic, best twist-n-go and so forth. The Hornets will also be raffling off a new scooter.

Well, somebody had to do it. So who else but… The Hornets Long Island Scooter Club?! We have been running the longest weekly scooter ride in the NYC area, we host the longest running annual ride, our Ride To The End, Montauk Point, so now its time for us to throw an honest to god, full blown Scooter Rally.

We have the know how, we have the space and we have the determination of a pack of Hornets. We have helped plan the first Gotham Scooter Rallies in NYC, and we have helped with The NYSC’s Annual Block Party several times by leading rides and providing whatever was asked of us. The Rally will take place Labor Day Weekend. There will be Rides, Free Camping, Free BBQ, Music & Beer, A Scooter Raffle & Trophies. Save that weekend!

Details are still sketchy but The Hornets are already working on making the first Scooter Rally on Long Island a memorable one. Tito, Leader of our South Shore Chapter came up with the idea and it’s starting to gain momentum already.
