Vespa Brooklyn aiding first time riders
If you’re considering purchasing your first scooter but have questions or concerns over hitting the road, right now you could do a lot worse than speaking with the folks at Vespa Brooklyn in Fort Greene. The dealership has just announced it’s Summer 2010 First Time Riders Program:
Ever find yourself in traffic only to be passed by someone on a scooter and wishing that was you? Ever think about how much money you would be saving by driving a scooter? No parking tickets, no parking garages, cheap insurance and $6 fill-ups are just some of the advantages of two wheeled transportation.
Vespa Brooklyn is your first step! We realize that many of you are reluctant to get a scooter for various reasons such as lack of riding experience or not understanding the licensing procedures. That is why we have introduced our First Time Riders Program — an interactive way to learn how to ride and get your license. And the best part of it all? It’s included complimentary with your Vespa or Piaggio purchase! You get the following:
- A complete orientation of your scooter.
- Two 60 minute lessons, one-on-one with our experienced staff where we’ll not only go over riding fundamentals, but prepare you for your road test.
- 30 minute “ride along” lesson, where you will take a ride through Brooklyn with us getting a great feel for the road and traffic conditions.
- We will schedule your road test for you, as well as accompany you to the road test location.

Vespa Brooklyn is the worst dealership i have ever visited.
Went there for servise one friday (one hour before closing) ….but they were to lazy to check whats wrong because they wanted to go home. told me to come back next week.
Went next week, told me they dont have time today. lAZY BASTARDS!!!!
Never will I again get anything from them or will visit them for anything. HORRIBLE !!!!!!!!
yeah, last weekend i took my scooter to them for work, they knew i was coming that day. I get there at 5:30, they are supposed to be open till 6, but the place was padlocked they were all gone, and no answer on the phone. So, i had to ride my damaged scooter back to coney island. when i spoke to the owner Andrew on monday, he essentially called me a liar and said they were there and i had the time wrong. but i looked at my phone, and all 4 calls from outside their shop were between 5:40 and 5:50. and i know my phone’s time is set right because my boss hasnt been complaining that i’m an hour late every day.
They didnt want to admit it because they didnt want to give me a free tow, but even after i wasnt asking for anything they wouldnt admit it. So i decided that if the owner, Andrew, couldnt be honest with me even before he got my bike, how could i trust his estimate later. go to Scooter Bottega. which is where i’ll be going back to for this work now. i was only going here because he’s closed for the holidays and i was impatient, but never again.
Leave your response!
