I parked my bike this morning next to a BMW motorcycle owner who would appear to have had enough of being the victim of an overzealous traffic enforcement officer.

WNYC reporter, and fellow scooterist, Jim Colgan, has spent the past two weeks interviewing local riders culminating in a short video piece that draws attention to the frustrations of scootering in the Big Apple.

If you live in Manhattan’s community board #4 region (Chelsea, Hell’s Kitchen etc.) and care about parking your scooter safely and ticket-free, the New York Motorcycle and Scooter Task Force would appreciate your attendance tonight.

We’ve recently posted a number of stories on the activities of the New York Motorcycle and Scooter Task Force simply because they’ve actually been gaining ground on the issue of dedicated two-wheeled parking in NYC.

The NYMSTF is holding a meeting to decide whether dedicated, on-street motorcycle and scooter parking will be created in the Community Board 4 area.

If you want to put your muscle behind the New York Motorcycle and Scooter Task Force’s current campaign for dedicated two-wheeled parking around the city, you’ll have an opportunity to do so tomorrow evening.
