Rumors of the return of the much loved darling of the scooter world Vespa PX have been around for about as long as, well… as long as there hasn’t been a steady production run of the PX.

This morning I figured I’d take a slightly different route on my ’85 Vespa PX from the East Village to work in Midtown in an effort to keep things interesting. The exhaust coming off the bike proved to be more interesting.

Turns out that what I thought was a problem with the flasher unit in my PX was ultimately a simple case of a flat battery. After putting the battery on trickle charge overnight using my Battery Tender everything fired back into life again this morning.

No scoot into work today. The PX has flatly refused to flash a turn signal. They’re all dead. Front, back, left, right. Nothing, nada.
